Trouble...

Yom Kippur is over. The fast which lasts 24 hours ended yesterday with a delicious bowl of beef chow mein. I had my doubts this year, as my hunger has grown in leaps and bounds since the last time. Yet I persevered. The weather is and was unfeasibly comfortable for Cape Town and the rain has finally seemed to pass us. As the weekend rolls on by, the temperature reads a warm 25 degrees for Saturday. Things can only look up at this point. Not so much for the global economy. Remember how I complained about the petrol prices? I recently read an article which stated that the National Debt Counting Clock on Wall Street has run out of digits. It ran out of space. On ten trillion dollars. Ten trillion is an insurmountable amount of debt. Its too much and this black hole is going to pull us all into its gravitational field of doom.

Yet Cape Town prevails. Our Cape Town hotels are thriving. Our credit is almost under control and the price of petrol went down yet again. R9.20 sucka’s! With my Vuka, this amounts to R38 for a full tank of happy, toxic liquid. This could be just the shock the globe needs in order to align itself for the future. And there is no need to ask yourself how bad it can get. Its at that level already.
