People with a tast for life

Cape Town’s ecosystem is killing me. Literally. I’m not sure I can handle further on and off rain showers pelting down, assaulting me to and fro. Its too much for me and my 125cc Vuka Scooter. It’s not as if I have the cash for a long term car rental, I don’t. I purchased this beauty for cheap way back when Table mountain would smile rays of sunshine at me. Now, it is a miserable wreck of its former self. Slightly dramatic yet still an approximate summary.

During last nights thunder storm, myself and my girlfriend went to see Tropic Thunder [6/10] at the VA Waterfront and enjoy the tastes of our motherland, Spur. Spur is one of the oldest family restaurants in South Africa and a touchstone for any hungry ex-pat who visits our shores for an el-chepo holiday. They recently launched a new line of ‘Gourmet’ Burgers and I tried the choc/chille Hawaiian double sauce burger. It was a monster. Yet I greedily devoured half of it before caving into a meaty oblivion. I would miss Spur if I had to leave South Africa. They are such a fantastic steak house after all.
