The New and the Old
My old back pain has dissipated, replaced with the common cold [I believe it is a cold]. I have taken various drugs such as Viral Guard and Corenza and I think they are indeed the cure for my malarkey. I was a mess yesterday, and was genuinely worried about my upcoming two day vacation/self styled [...]

Cape Towns proud stadium
2010 draws near. What was once a dream, is now a reality and investors, developers and businessman are scrambling to take advantage of what will most likely be an incredibly lucrative investment. Our glorious Green Point stadium is currently underway and is looking to be the an amazing breakfast-bowl shaped stadium. There are other stadiums [...]

A sudden chill
I’m becoming tired of these cold winter days. The melancholic loop of eating, sleeping and online gambling on my laptop is an easy escape from braving the harsh chill. I’m also not sure of how much more rain my scooter can endure. Precious little I predict. Outside of my office windows, dark clouds coat Table Mountain [...]

Traffic
The traffic was terrible this morning. A single drop of rain and Cape town slows to a crawl. Sometimes I wish there was cheap car rental we could all hire cars and save on the free petrol that would be provided. Maybe this is why I scoot everywhere. Scooting saves times, petrol, basically eliminates traffic [...]

Pain
My shoulder pain has been killing me. The pain is unbearable. I believe I pulled it by sleeping incorrectly, with my neck in a poor position. I have taken some strong tablets to ease the nagging discomfort. Lets pray they work.

Green Point – One Big Teller
I remember that day as if it were yesterday; it was the Thursday before Good Friday last year. There are two things that I can’t forget about that Thursday. One of the two I’d rather forget because I still can’t believe how my flat could have been broken into – I lived right in front [...]

Today, it rains
After what seemed like a week of pure heat, the weather has finally broken and rain clouds loom overhead. By tonight, the forecast says, there should be buckets of rain pouring down. I can’t wait. Cape Town needs to be washed clean. The streets have been looking dirty recently. Has anyone else noticed the drop [...]

Cape Town in One – Long Street
Even before I touched down on Cape Town soil, I knew about Long Street, or had heard about it rather. I remember sitting in the bus and wondering if it’s really true that Long Street has just clubs, pubs and cafes. People told me that you walk out of a club straight into another club’s [...]

I [heart] my gadgets
iPhones, PSP’s Wii’s, Xbox’s and more gadgets like these are just a few of the latest pieces of technology that Capetonians love to have. New shops spring up everyday [mostly at the waterfront] beckoning you in and basically forcing you to choke the last vestiges of life from your credit card. I love gadgets myself. [...]

The Good Hope Centre VS the CTICC
There was a battle fought in Cape Town a while back. However it was a silent one, with a clear winner which had emerged from the start. It was a battle of architecture, of new over old and the necessity for Cape Town to create its own business landmark of the 21st Century. I’m speaking [...]
